tranScrip’s Senior Vice President and co-founder Flic Gabbay received Honorary membership from Faculty of Public Health Medicine of three Royal Colleges of Physicians of UK alongside, Sadiq Kahn (Lord Mayor of London), Dame Clare Gerada (President of the Royal College of General Practitioners), Sir David Speigelhalter, Sir Jonathan Montgomery (professor of Health Care Law), Sara Hurley (Chief Dental Officer), Dame Theresa Marteau (Director of the Behaviour and Health Research), Margaret Rae (Immediate past President Faculty of Public Health) and Raghib Ali (Chief Medical Officer, Our Future Health). Flic is the President of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the three Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK which oversees pharmaceutical medicine and those working within it. It includes those working R&D, regulation, safety and medical affairs of medicines and devices.
Flic said “I am particularly pleased to receive this award as FPH gave the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine so much support when we were founded 34 years ago. Many regard pharmaceutical medicine as the public health discipline that oversees medicines and devices and in the US physicians working in FDA are Board certified in public health. I am awed by the other awardees and humbled and delighted to be recipient of this honour and look forward to contributing much more in public health.”
