Karen Nugent

Karen is Head of Project Delivery at tranScrip and brings 28 years of experience working with large and small pharmaceutical companies, biotechs and CROs.

Karen is a senior industry professional with 28 years of experience, including senior positions in clinical development. She has a wealth of experience in the leadership of cross functional clinical study and development teams and has a successful track record in the design, budgeting and execution of clinical programmes supporting several product approvals.

Prior to joining tranScrip, Karen worked for several pharma and biotech companies including Summit Therapeutics where she was VP, Clinical Operations, Data Management and Project Management. Before that she was VP, Clinical Development with Shield Therapeutics. She also spent several years at Biogen, where she was the clinical development lead for several products, taking two products from phase I to marketing approvals in Japan, US and EU and supporting post-marketing commitments and life cycle management.

At tranScrip, Karen leads the Project Delivery department including Clinical Operations, Project Management and Medical Writing.
