A message from our Chief Executive Officer

Dear Readers,

I’m pleased to welcome you to May’s edition of the tranScrip newsletter.

This month’s insights reflect the breadth of our expertise and the power of early, strategic thinking. Our feature on building effective Market Access strategies highlights just how critical it is to plan with the end in mind, not just for successful launches, but for long-term patient and commercial impact. Similarly, our recent collaboration with the BIA to launch their new regulatory and access community reinforces the importance of collective action to accelerate innovation and strengthen the UK’s position in global healthcare development.

We’re also delighted to announce that Roz Sutton has been appointed SVP Head of Regulatory, leading our Regulatory Business Unit. Roz brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the role, and we’re excited about the continued growth, development and continuing gold standard support for our clients from our regulatory team under her guidance.

As always, we’re looking ahead. Our teams are preparing for key global events including ASCO and BIO International, where we look forward to reconnecting with clients, partners, and peers. If you’re attending, we’d love to hear from you.

Thank you for continuing to be part of the tranScrip community.

Warm regards,
Mark Corbett

Insights from the BIA & tranScrip Regulatory Webinar: Regulatory and Access Community Connects

BioIndustry Association (BIA) and tranScrip hosted a webinar to launch the BIA regulatory and access community, this webinar focused on how this new community can help drive the growth of the UK healthcare economy by supporting innovation, collaboration, and strategic regulatory planning.

Roz Sutton delivered an insightful presentation on the rapidly evolving regulatory and market access landscape, highlighting innovative UK tools and processes that:
- Champion the UK as a unique and critical part of global development strategies
- Encourage collaboration across patients, developers, regulators, payers, and HCPs
- Embrace innovation through frameworks like iLAP and adaptive trial approaches

Louise Knowles (MHRA) shared valuable updates on:
- The relaunched iLAP
- Decentralised supply chains
- The streamlines UK CTA framework

The panel discussion with Gwenaelle Pemberton and Rosemarie Delaney PhD explored:
- The importance for developers to engage early
- Barriers to study start-up in the NHS
- The urgent need for tools like a UK-wide recruitment database and enhanced genomic testing
– Market access strategies and early planning considerations

A key takeaway: Start-ups and SMEs navigating the complex UK regulatory and market access environment don’t have to go it alone. Communities like this one and expert consultancies, like tranScrip, are here to help.
