Project Plastic: Donating Fees to Save our Seas

23 May 22

As congresses start transitioning back face to face, we want to ensure we continue to be environmentally conscious and offset any pollution we produce.

Our 2022 JP Morgan initiative was to donate to Water Aid and Freedom to Learn for each meeting we hosted.

Through scheduling 73 meetings with our existing, current and prospective clients, we were able to gift 5 families in Mali a handwashing facility and give 10 children in the Himalayas and South Asia the freedom to learn.

This June, we will be donating fees to save our seas!

For each meeting that we host, we will donate a sum of money to a charity that makes a positive impact on climate change by way of offsetting the carbon footprint of our attendance at the event.

Our chosen charity is Sea Life Trust, who work to help reduce the wave of plastic from entering our oceans through global projects and campaigns.

Sea Life Trust

Sea Life Trust’s vision is of a world where our seas are healthy, protected and full of diverse life. They champion the need for plastic-free oceans and the end to over-exploitation of marine life through various initiatives, including “Reduce Plastic Litter”. With at least 14 million tons of plastic ending up in the ocean each year, it’s important to support these initiatives. Not only so we can enjoy our beaches, but also to protect all the wildlife in the ocean.
