Clare is an experienced pharmaceutical leader with over 20 years of experience across affiliate and global roles in market access, pricing and commercial strategy. She has worked across all stages of development, from early pipeline through launch and in-market optimisation, and has particular expertise in immunology and specialty care. Clare has extensive experience across major markets including the US, Europe, Japan and China, and holds an MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

During her career, Clare has led global teams delivering payer and access strategies across both pipeline and in-line assets. She has shaped development programmes with payer needs in mind, influenced clinical and commercial decision-making, and supported business development opportunities across multiple assets and indications. Her therapeutic area experience includes lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, inflammatory bowel disease, dermatology and respiratory disease.

Most recently at GSK, Clare served as Disease Area Head, Immunology, Global Market Access, where she led a team responsible for pipeline and in-line brands contributing more than £1 billion in 2023. In this role, she drove organisational alignment on payer needs to influence medicine profile, clinical development and valuation for pipeline assets, while also supporting complex business development projects. She also led digital innovation workstreams, including the development of an AI tool that was rolled out globally.

Previously, Clare was Global Market Access and Pricing Director for Rheumatology and COVID Therapeutics at GSK. She helped build the direct-to-government advance contracting strategy for COVID therapeutics and was part of the global negotiation office that delivered more than £2 billion through commercial execution. Earlier global roles included Director of Early Pipeline, Specialty Franchise, and Director of Global Market Access & Healthcare Solutions, Dermatology, where she led access strategy, pricing and evidence planning for priority immunology and dermatology assets.

Before moving into global leadership roles, Clare held UK affiliate positions at GSK and AstraZeneca focused on reimbursement strategy, health outcomes and HTA submissions, and earlier worked in a number of NHS-facing commercial and medical roles at Servier. This breadth of experience gives her a strong combination of scientific rigour, payer insight and commercial acumen, which she brings to advising clients on pricing, reimbursement and market access strategy.
