Sonjoy Brahma

Sonjoy joined tranScrip in 2022 as Head of Clinical Programme Management. He has a broad range of international drug development experience predominantly in Neuroscience and Oncology spanning over 24 years. Sonjoy has led global development projects across the product lifecycle from first time in humans, registration programmes all the way to post marketing.

Strengths include clinical study design, project and programme management, clinical development planning, strategic vendor/CRO selection, vendor oversight and inspection readiness. Sonjoy has a successful track record in building, managing and motivating global clinical operations teams. He has considerable experience in trial oversight having led clinical development programmes in Epilepsy and Alzheimer’s disease to successful registration including paediatric and rare disease indications.

Sonjoy has significant experience of working with biologics and small molecules in clinical development including DEA scheduled products.

Sonjoy has particular interest in the planning of clinical development programmes with advanced knowledge in scenario building, financial budgeting and forecasting for internal pipeline development, potential investor funding and due diligence of in-licensing opportunities.

Prior to joining tranScrip, Sonjoy managed a global project operations group within the Neurology business unit of a mid-cap biotech where he was the EU Head of Clinical Operations and also the Global Therapeutic Area Head for Epilepsy Clinical Development programmes. Previously he has held positions at AstraZeneca, Reckitt Benckiser, Chiltern International and Allergan covering Oncology, GI, Pain, Ophthalmology and CVD therapy areas.

His recent experience includes scientific advice interactions with the FDA and EMA, PIP development, several NDA and sNDA submissions and a lead role in 3 major EMA/FDA GCP inspections.
